
Deputy Chairman
Mike was appointed a non executive Director of Capital in March 2002 and became Deputy Chairman in 2005.
Mike joined the UK stockbroking company, Kemp-Gee in 1973 becoming an equity partner in 1980. He specialised in researching the Electronics and Telecoms sectors and his team was ranked first for thirteen consecutive years in the annual Extel Research survey. Among his Corporate roles, was acting as Research broker to the British Telecom privatisation in 1984, and taking responsibility for marketing in the Middle East.
In 1986, he joined Smith New Court (now part of Merrill Lynch) in a similar role. He advised on the demerger and flotation of Vodafone in 1986. Subsequently, he joined Credit Lyonnais Securities in 1991 where he led the Co Manager team on the flotation of the mobile telephone company ,Orange, in 1991.
Mike has an MA in Economics from Cambridge University.
