TAQA appoints Capital MSL to global communications mandate
Capital MSL ("Capital"), the international corporate and financial communications consultancy, today announced that it has been awarded a global communications mandate to support the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company "TAQA". The mandate will encompass corporate communications, investor relations, internal communications and brand development.
The team will be led by Nick Bastin, Director, out of London and Kate Delahunty, Managing Director MENA, out of Dubai. The account will draw on the experience and resources of Capital MSL, as well as that of its parent, the MSLGROUP, in Amsterdam, Toronto and in the UK.

TAQA is a global energy company majority owned by the Abu Dhabi Government and listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange. Its activities include oil and gas, power generation and water desalination across five continents. With operations in the UK, the Netherlands and North America, its oil and gas business includes exploration and production, storage and pipelines. It produces almost 137,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in the North Sea and North America, as well as operating and developing extensive gas storage facilities in the Netherlands.
TAQA is also the 6th largest independent power producer in the world, with power plants in the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Ghana, India, and the United States. TAQA is the majority owner in the facilities that provide 98% of the water and electricity requirements in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Capital was awarded the mandate following an international tender process. Prior to the tender, Capital's London office had been advising TAQA on its investor relations since 2007.
